    Odbc Preview Sql Statement?

Hello, I am trying to set up logging of my 54-element numeric array that i load from OPC server, i am using Oracle database through DSN. I have went through all the hoops related to selecting proper ODBC version (32bit), getting correct connection string, correcting SQL keywords and data types in the "SQK Strings" box etc. now i can see that DAQFactory correctly connects to the database, creates a table when it it not there (throws an error when it is) and creates fields with correct data types in the table. I now get "C1012 Failed to access table for logging. Msg: ORA-00911: invalid character" in other words, Oracle reports "ORA-00911" due to incorrectly formatted insert query. I cannot imagine what invalid character this might be. Is there a way of previewing the SQL query that DAQFactory generates? Regards, Jerzy Dziewierz
  4. Difficulty connecting to an SQL database. I've looked through posts in the forums and tried the suggested tips but still no connectivity. Any help would be most appreciated. Here's where I'm at: DAQFactory logging set configured as below reports the error: The specified DNS contains an architecture mismatch between the driver and application Logging method: ODBC database Data source: OTS_KPIs Table Name: NewTable DAQFactory sequence to open database reports the error: O1002 Unable to open ODBC database. I've tried several variations of the OpenEx() call, examples below. None work: dbase = db.OpenEx("DSN='OTS_KPIs';DATABASE='PEL5453_PEL_OTS'") dbase = db.OpenEx("SERVER='NEWTHINKPAD\SQL';DSN='OTS_KPIs';UID=;PWD=;DATABASE='PEL5453_PEL_OTS'") dbase = db.Open("OTS_KPIs") DAQFactory logging set configured as below reports the error: The specified DNS contains an architecture mismatch between the driver and application Logging method: ODBC database Data source: OTS_KPIs Table Name: NewTable DAQFactory sequence to open database reports the error: O1002 Unable to open ODBC database. 6. I am using the following sequence to query a MySQL db for the Max value of a column. I know the MySQL syntax is correct, the query works with MySQL Admin correctly. Here is what I am using: Sequence--- global dbase global qr dbase = db.OpenEx("DSN=MySQLdb;UID=ssc01;PWD=xxxxxxx;DATABASE=agtest") qr = db.Query(dbase,"Select Max(PwrDmdTotal) from agpower081012") db.CloseQuery(qr) db.Close(dbase) end Sequence--- This is a simple query that should result in the variable qr as 281.554 The result I am getting through the ODBC client and DF is 69033044402.00 This result also changes every time I run the sequence. Seems like I don't have something in the qr = line. What am I doing wrong? -Greg
