BStewart
Hi, I am periodicaly and unpredictably getting a value of something like '-.$' for a particular variable after a series of calculations. To avoid having to describe the interative calculations in detail, is there a general cause for this type of error? Thanks for your help, Ben
AzeoTech
It means you are getting a value that doesn't exist. For example, 1/0, or log(-1). Double check your calcs for these type of mathematical errors. Actually, 1/0 will give you Nan, but log(-1) gives you -1.#IND.
BStewart
Thanks for that but it has beaten me - I am but a bloody battered mess lying at the feet of a victorious merciless DAQFactory. Ben
AzeoTech
DAQFactory is subject to the laws of mathematics I'm afraid and those laws are really the merciless ones. I don't think DAQFactory would be of much use if it ignored those laws and returned, say 4 for log(-1)
