llwalz
I am very new to this. I set up my device (PCI AI12-16A) and I tried collecting data from the first channel. Everything went fine. The problem is as I add each additional channel, the voltage on the first channel increases. When I delete these other channels, the voltage steps back down with each deletion till it goes back to what it was supposed to be in the first place. Is there something different I have to do when I connect to my device other than typing in a different channel number for each channel?
AzeoTech
Are the channels actually wired to things or are they just floating? If they are wired, is the voltage on the second channel higher than the first?
llwalz
The first channel is wired to something that is about 0.5V, the second channel is shorted (to see baseline noise) and the third channel has a variable voltage from 0-100mV (and I didn't see it vary, but the DAQ is reporting 4V which is much larger than the amount I'm varying it)
AzeoTech
Are you using an external multiplexer? If so, try removing it and connecting directly to the device's inputs. It sounds like the other channels are just floating.
