montyk Posted November 12, 2008 Share Posted November 12, 2008 I am trying to use the TriPLC Xserver unit to connect there PLC to a network but it can only use there HOSTLINK commands to access to Xserver unit, so I thought I could create a New Protocol to use the HOSTLINK commands but I am not sure how to do this I know you can create new protocols. AzeoTech Posted November 14, 2008 Share Posted November 14, 2008 Much of this is described in the serial - ethernet communication guide which is in the Start menu under DAQFactory. However, are typically recommend simply using sequences to develop protocols instead of creating actual user protocols within DAQFactory if you are only going to use the protocol on one or two apps.
