Virtual Channel Usage

I would like to use a virtual channel to act as a method to Select Manual or Automatic modes of operation.

To do this I use a button that toggles between 0 and 1 with the action channel being v.man_auto.

In my channel event I try to use v.man_auto and it will not work.

If I tie up an analog output and use that all seems to work.

Whay can't I reference v.man_auto in my event?

I can't say without seeing the document. However, I recommend just using a global variable. There is no reason to use a V channel.
