Checkbox not working on variables

I am having trouble getting the check box component to work with variables.

I have tested with a channel and works ok, but as soon as I put a (global) variable in the "Set Channel" field the check box only displays status of variable but will not toggle value when I click on component

Using latest version DF Pro 5.84

You've got something else going on because it works fine for me in a blank document (typed global x = 1 in the command/alert, then added a checkbox to change x). Maybe something else is changing your global variable?

Here's a wierd one. I have a screen with several named components. I created a Check Box control, and pointed it at Component.MyComponent.Visible. It initially appears with the box checked, which is reasonable because the named component is showing at the moment. If I uncheck the box, the named component doesn't disappear, the Check Box element does!
