AzeoTech Posted November 7, 2010 Share Posted November 7, 2010 No, DAQFactory is like Adobe Acrobat. You can't use the applications (documents) without the application installed. Like Acrobat, there is a runtime version (though DAQFactory's is not free unless you create your application with DAQFactory Developer), and there is a development version. Unlike Acrobat, and any other SCADA tool, the development and runtime environment of DAQFactory are the same and controlled by licensing. This creates a very unique and useful feature, namely the ability to go to a runtime installation with the hardware key and development license, and switch to development, make changes, save the document, and revert back to runtime all without stopping and without having to install the development environment.
