DF not shutting down properly

Hi,

I have noticed on occasions that shutting down DaqFactory by clicking on the cross in the top right hand corner doesn't actually stop the application running sometimes. This is noticeable when I save my document to a pen drive (as I do last thing before I go home as a further backup in my pocket) Although DaqFactory seems to have shut down in that there is no display on screen, with only the desktop visible, the pen drive is noted as busy when I click to remove safely. Fire up Task Manager and sure enough DaqFactory is still listed as running. Force it to close with Task manager and then I can remove my pen drive safely. Is there a more fool proof way of shutting down, System.Quit() for example. I'm worried that if this sort of thing happens in the field the user won't necessarily know how to get out of it.

This can happen depending on your scripts, especially if you have long timeouts in your comms. DAQFactory can't interupt a comms request in progress. The only way to keep it from happening is to create a quit button of your own and go through and gracefully shut down your scripts, perhaps providing the user with some feedback on the process.
