lueck
I was setting up system to read switch inputs via a Sealevel Ethernet Device, when I realized I have a lot of Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1000 plcs I rat packed a while back. Would it be possible to use them on the serial port on computers running DAQ runtime and transmit them via ethernet to my Host running DAQ Pro or Standard? Thanks, Mike
AzeoTech
I don't see why not. You could also just get a serial to ethernet converter instead of having to have a PC locally. As for your solution you can either have the Host connect using DAQFactory networking (adding a new connection), or just make the runtime a Modbus slave. The DF networking solution is easier though.
