Multiple LAN card

Hi,

I found an old post that stated it was not possible to specify which LAN card to use when setting up ethernet servers in DF, does this also apply to clients?

Forgive me if this is a silly question, but I'm setting up devices as ethernet clients on a machine that has multiple LAN cards, do I need to know which LAN to write to, does it check the sub-net, or does it just send out both LANs?

I believe the OS and routers take care of this, however they can get confused if an IP address is reachable on both NICs. If, however, these are all internal IP's (i.e. 192.168 or 10. numbers), then it is automatic, because these numbers aren't routable, so if one NIC is 192.168.1.5 and the other is 192.168.2.5 and you want to reach 192.168.1.12, you can only reach it from the first NIC.
