AzeoTech Posted February 1, 2012 Share Posted February 1, 2012 Release 6 has been somewhat delayed. The big issue is that we need to move to a new compiler and that is rather time consuming. DAQFactory is now almost 11 years old, built on a compiler that is 13 years old, and this migration to a new compiler is a bit overdue. It is my hope that release 6, in whatever form it ends up being, will be released sometime this year. As for the second part, we currently do not charge for upgrades, so no, you do not need to buy a new license. We want you running the latest and greatest DAQFactory, partially because its easier on support, and partially because we want you showing off the latest and greatest to all your friends! I believe instead of waiting and releasing some big 6.0 release in a while, we are going to try and do lots of smaller improvements, releasing all the while (say every few months). We'll likely be sending an email out shortly looking for beta testers (who, in return for using beta versions, get more direct input into the shape of DAQFactory).
