tonyjflavell
Hello Its not clear to me what is the minimum DaqFactory licence that supports Ethernet server. Is this available under the runtime licence as well as a developer licence? Thanks! Tony
AzeoTech
The minimum license for the Ethernet server are the versions that support Networking, which at this point is Pro and Developer. Ethernet client is included in all versions. Runtime follows whatever version was used to create the document. So if you used Base, you'd only have 64 channels in Runtime, etc.
tonyjflavell
So does that mean I can create a DaqFactory file that uses an ethernet server with my developer version, then distribute it to multiple users who only have runtime versions. They can each then run their copy, which will run an ethernet server. on their local machine. Or do they need developer versions too?
AzeoTech
Yes, that is correct. If your development version supports Ethernet Server, then any runtimes you generate will support it as well. Your customer would not need a development version.
