Alarm Summary Hide Inactive Alarms

Recommended Posts

This is from another post and really needs to be done.  Hiding inactive alarms to "clean up" the alarm summary.

"...or you might post a request on our New Features forum asking for an option to hide inactive alarms.  It would not be particular hard for us to implement for you so could be done pretty quickly assuming you are already on 5.90."

Thanks...John

Also, one thing is that when you resize a column, for example the description, they do not retain their new column width settings.  Would be nice if they did so you don't have to resize every time you open the alarm dialog.

Thanks...John

OK, but inactive alarms should appear at the bottom and without any background color.

Yep...understand completely.  But most if not all HMI's I have setup for customers inactive alarms are not displayed in the alarm summary.  You know how hard it is to train operators?  :-)

  • 1 year later...

Since 17.1 was recently released would like to bring up the following requested items for possible inclusion in future relates...

1.  Display the ALM, ACK, and RST times in the format set in Windows Region and Language settings.

2.  When you resize a column in the alarm display, for example the description, they do not retain their new column width settings.  Would be nice if they did so you don't have to resize every time you open the alarm dialog.

3.  Check-box on alarm display to hide inactive alarms to "clean up" the alarm summary.

Thanks...John
