  1. Hi Does AzeroTech create custom scripts for DAQFactory for payment? I was thinking along the lines of the open source model. The customer defines what they would like programmed, the programmer will say how much he will do the job for. They both agree on the price, transition takes place on the understanding that the code is open source and available to others to use?

    Recipes

Hi In my PLC i have stored 100 recipes with 100 ingredients each. If i were to make a channel for each ingredient that would come to 10,000 channels (100x100) All the recipes have simlar naming conventions e.g Recipe 1: [Ringrose_Stockfoods]RECIPE[1].B1_WT,L1,C1 [Ringrose_Stockfoods]RECIPE[1].B2_WT,L1,C1 [Ringrose_Stockfoods]RECIPE[1].B3_WT,L1,C1 .. Recipe 2: [Ringrose_Stockfoods]RECIPE[2].B1_WT,L1,C1 [Ringrose_Stockfoods]RECIPE[2].B2_WT,L1,C1 [Ringrose_Stockfoods]RECIPE[2].B3_WT,L1,C1 .. Recipe 2: [Ringrose_Stockfoods]RECIPE[3].B1_WT,L1,C1 [Ringrose_Stockfoods]RECIPE[3].B2_WT,L1,C1 [Ringrose_Stockfoods]RECIPE[3].B3_WT,L1,C1 .. Have you any suggestions how to get my recipes into DAQFactory. I guess i'm after a menu where i can select recipe 1 and it will display all the ingredients in recipe 1 which i could then edit. If you know of any documentation i should read on the topic please point me in that direction Thanks.

    Logging on an event

Just brilliant I wound have never thought of that. Hand shake: Allen Bradley use "hand shakes" between Panel view's and PLC's A bit gets enabled in the "PLC", This bit is read by the "panel view" which inturn enables another bit which is read by the PLC to acknowledge the reading of the first bit. Thanks

    Logging on an event

Hi I need to log on and event I have followed the instruction for "Logging on an event" if (MyChannel[0] > 3) beginexport(MyExport) endif This works execpt: In my PLC I have a bit that turns on to log, but the problem is that while the bit is turned on it keeps logging Is there a one shot option? Is there a hand shake option? Do you have some example code! Thanks

Setting up a basic graph (weight ver's time)

Thanks It now appears to work I sill don't understand "persist" but it works

Setting up a basic graph (weight ver's time)

Hi I thought i had fixed the problem Its crazy, it works sometimes and not others. For example I had the "Logging" set to 1 second then changed it to 60 seconds but it still was logging at 1 second intervals. "Row" logging works sometimes. A few other strange things happen as well I suspect my problems could be something to do with OPC server?

Setting up a basic graph (weight ver's time)

My graph now works Sorry about posting for a basic feature. I'm not sure exactly what the problem was, but I suspect my problem was related to: 1. Graph scaling 2. Freeze / Thaw (needed to thaw graph) 3. Data history (I think the problem was the first 2 options) Thanks
  9. Hi I'm trying to set up a basic graph of the weight of a bin over time. I've read all of the help files and it should be easy (must be something wrong with me) anyway the weight is 0kg to 2000kg and i would like to log time over a 12 hour period Here is some screen shots Sorry about asking basic questions Note: I have tryed different setting from the ones shown on the screen shots, with not luck
  10. Thanks Now it works It looks like i'll finally be able to test the software Your doing a great job, i wish other posters would accept that citech/rockwell type support requires citech/rockwell type payments.
  11. Tryed this but it started logging instead of a static display Asynchronous works best I'm sure DAQFactory has bugs in respect to OPC/character arrays but i was trying to work around this but with no luck. See screen shots
  12. I've gone back to OPC In respect to "character arrays" i was trying different configurations with no luck and then it started to work!!! I then tryed to enter in other "character arrays" form other parts of the PLC memory and again it only works sometimes. Its crazy I think there is a bug in DAQFactory in respect to adding channels with "character arrays" I've added some screen shots
  13. You are correct Question: I think i have connected with DF1. Does DF1/RS232 have and IO browse feature. If not how do i find my IO?
  14. OPC I've got OPC to semi work, works well with integers but Character Arrays do not work. I beleive this is due to a bug in the version of RSLinx im using. With my version of RSLinx i can't browse my network for Character Arrays, only integers. I have overcome this limitation in other software by manually editing the link e.g. in Excel =RSLINX|Feed!'RECIPE[0].PRODUCT_NAME1,L1,C1' will display a Character Array. Attachment is my RSLinx browser screen shot DF1 I can't find the RS232 "serial port configuration" for my processor, I haven't tryed the default setting. Do you know what the setting should be?
  15. Thanks for your excellent post My understanding is greatly improved Processor is "1756-L55/A Logix 5555" and yes it has a spare serial port. I would assume it can handle DF1 I also have a copy of "RSLinx Pro" I'm just trailing the DAQFactory to see if it suits my job. It
