    Calculator

Hello, I have a HMI running in full screen, and I need to provide a calculator to the operator. There are two alternatives: 1) develop calculator in DAQ factory 2) run the windows calculator I would like to ask a question on both alternatives: For option 1) : is there any calculator already done that I can use? as you have a pop up keypad sample, to avoid reinvent the wheel!!! For option 2) : if DAQfactory opens the windows calculator, is there a way to force the use to close it when done? I mean, I dont want the user to click on DAQ factory again and let the calculator program in the background, so when they need it again a new instance will be open and so on. Thanks and regards peyro
  3. Hello, I am using Modbus RTU driver to communicate with a PLC, however sometimes the cable fails and would like to display an alarm on screen. What function can be used for this purpose?? does this function should be polled periodically to test the link or can it be an event?? Thanks in advance for any help... peyro

    Report Creation

Hello, I am trying to set up a printed report that includes a set of variables, and images (panels, some buttons, etc), like doing a word file report of a production in a day. My question is if there is a way to do this in DAqfactory so I can print this out without leaving the operator screen to go to another program (word in this case). For example I saw that I can print a page, with system.printpage, so I can arrange a page with all the information I need, the problem is that there is no realtion between the size of the page screen and a letter page in the printer for example. That is, a variable display with font size of 10 looks huge in the printer with the printpage command. Any insigth on how to do this in a more easy way is welcome!! Thanks in advance Ap

Displaying cursor position in a 2D graphic

Ok I see... Thanks for the answer... Ap PD: by the way, I think that a mouse mobile marker is good enough, I have seen screens where the marker is a solid vertical line, that is moved with the mouse over the graph, and the current pointed values are displayed together with the variable legends... just ideas...
  9. Hello, I would like to check wether it is possible to include in runtime (operator screen) the mouse cursor position when moving over a 2D graph component. This information is available in development screen, I mean in the bottom you have the X/Y coordinate of the mouse, but when over a graph, it shows the actual values in that graph. I would like to provide this information besides the MARKERs that you can use as well thanks in advance and regards, Ap

    Displaying empty data sets

Hello, I have some persists variables that needs to be displayed in a 2D graphic. On these data sets I have "holes" where the system is OFF and there is no data collected. The problem is that when I graph a range that include ON and OFF times, the graph seems to interpolate the values and shows data lines like there were data. More over, if I graph only an OFF period, I got a line with the last value. Is there a way to avoid interpolating the values, and show nothing on OFF times where there is no data collected?? Thanks in advance and regards Ap
  12. Thank you, I checked that and is rigth, it is limitied. Regards, Ap
  13. Hello all, I would like to know if during runtime one can limit what the user can do with a graphic, that is, when doing rigth click on a graphic, the user dont get the Properties nor Calculation option, but just Marks, Peaks, etc. Is it possible to configure the graph like this? THanks in advance for any help and regards, Ap
