aceav8or
I've been trying to get a reading on the U3-HV's internal (calibrated ambient) temperature sensor to no avail, can someone that's done it point me in the right direction? Thanks!
LabJackSupport
You should be able to just read channel #30 using the normal Channels list in DF, and it will return temperature in degrees K. If it is not working, make sure you have the current UD driver (V3.25) and current U3 firmware (use LJSelfUpgrade).

aceav8or
How accurate is that reading supposed to be?
LabJackSupport
We don't give a spec on the accuracy of the internal temp sensor on the U3. The sensor is buried in the main microcontroller in the middle of the board, so has a very slow time constant. If everything is stable, it should be accurate to a couple degrees. http://labjack.com/support/u3/users-guide/2.6.4 If you need a sensor with some better accuracy, just buy an LM34CAZ. You can put it right in the screw-terminals or solder leads to it.
