In order to better diagnose this, I would need to see a screenshot of the serial monitor window. If you are using a serial port, it is possible you have the settings wrong. The default is 9600,8,n,1 for serial comms, but many modbus devices use 9600,8,e,1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

AzeoTech Posted July 28, 2008 Share Posted July 28, 2008 Well, it looks like it works most of the time, but every once in a while your device simply does not respond. This could be because you have the Timing too fast and are querying the device too quickly. Try right clicking on the comm monitor and selecting "display time of tx/rx" and look at how long it takes between the Tx and Rx. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
