Kill a ethernet connection

Hi:

I need to ask for some help. I have some networked devices with DAQFactory through ethernet, when I disconnect the cable from one of these devices or powering down and re-connect I can't re-establish communication, the communication port is opened. The question is, is it possible to kill the connection for a specified port and then restore?.

Yup:

device.mydevice.initcomm() will reinit the port. If you want to just completely disconnect, do:

device.mydevice.port = 0

device.mydevice.address = ""

device.mydevice.initcomm()
