Add 2 Clients to DAQFactory working Project

I have a project working with OPC KEPWARE.

I want to compose another two working stations to the same project,

What the best way to do this?

the Project has about 2800 tags.

You want two other PC's to display the same data coming from the OPC server? There are two ways to do it:

1) have the remote copies of DAQFactory connect to the current DAQFactory and collect data from there

2) have all three installations be identical and getting their data from the OPC server directly. You'd have to setup DCOM for this.

I would recommend #2, its actually a bit easier. The DCOM setup is the only hard part, and there are places on the web (softwaretoolbox.com for example) that will walk you through it step by step. The OPC server will have no problem handling multiple connections.

You can use method #1, but it requires that you modify your DAQFactory document to take remote data. This is not particularly hard either, but possibly not as obvious to do as simply connecting all three to the OPC server.
