Using Df To Open A File From A Usb Drive

Instead of saving a file to the computer hard drive under a specified folder and file name, Is it posible for Daqfactory to open any single file from a USB drive to read that file and set an output channel from its data ?

Sure. DF doesn't care as long as it can access the file through the standard windows directory path structure. This also means it can access remote files over the network through file sharing using the double backslash notation Windows Explorer uses.

I was thinking about using a tring message box and user has to type the correct path to the location of the file. However, what I mean was does DF have an option so user just click on an open button and browse to the file ? (e.g. similar to open a music file and play it in windows media...). I just want to create a friendly user interface to make it easier to use.

Oh, yes, now I understand. Its File.FileOpenDialog() and file.fileSaveDialog(). They work the same. The only difference is the title of the window.
