ccdubs
Hi All, I have an application where I want to read data from a Tri PLC. This will be a combination of I/O, relay coils and memory variables. What is the most efficient way to do this? Should I use channels and the built in TriLogi device? Or use a MODBUS script and I/O map all the PLC data I want into a memory address range on the PLC? I'm thinking the latter as this would gaurentee the need for only 1 communication and minimise comms overhead. Thanks.
AzeoTech
I agree. But you don't have to do modbus script. You can just create modbus channels and as long as they are consecutive and the same I/O type, timing and offset, DF will automatically optimize into a minimum number of reads. Khalis
Hi..right now I'm trying to make an interface by using daq for my compny's project. I used trilogy protocol to communicate with the tri PLC an i have one major problem. The problem was I cannot find right command to retrieve the relay status. For example, if motor started, of course one of the internal relay will goes on. So, I need to the relay status to display it in daq as an indicator ex. led..I hope you can provide me some solutions/procedures..
