riseres
If I had developed my custom screen(hmi only). And want to add to my existing plc system. Can I deploy it direct to plc then show to lcd touch screen? Without a computer PLC --> lcd touch screen(no pc).
AzeoTech
Unlikely. The PLC would have to be windows based and capable of running DAQFactory.
SteveMyres
Depending on why you don't want a PC in the system, you might be happy with an industrially hardened panel mount touchscreen PC that looks like a proprietary MMI from Allen Bradley or Idec or whoever. So you would have in your system a PLC and a box that looks like a "normal" MMI rather than a PC. Something like that is what CTC and shipped to host DOS Interact aps, in fact. AzeoTech
You can use any computer that will run Windows XP or higher, including XPe. CE is not an option at this point. Panel PC's are fine, and DAQFactory can easily run in runtime mode without a keyboard and mouse, though you will need a keyboard / mouse for development, which you could do on a different computer.
